Our Price Commitment

We don’t bill by the hour. We don’t even track our time.

We believe that hourly billing puts us in conflict with our clients because it incentivizes inefficiency and unproductive activity. It also devalues what a lawyer does: if all that is valuable is our time, then it does not matter how well we perform the tasks that take up that time or how much we know about our practice areas.

So we ditched the billable hour. We offer every client a fixed price for every project. If a project is ongoing, such as litigation, we may set a monthly fee that covers all services we provide during that month. We agree up front what your project will cost and work with you to set budgets and timelines for a project.

The fees we quote include costs whenever possible, including but not limited to: research charges,  telephone charges, filing fees, taxes, recording fees, or other government fees or taxes. Other, unanticipated fees and costs for related to our services are not included. Our client is responsible for such costs, including postage, copying, research costs, technical experts, consultants, investigators, etc., which we will discuss with you up front.

Our pricing is transparent – you will know up front what to expect on your bill.

For your convenience, we accept almost every form of payment. We send bills when the work is completed, not six months later. We do our very best to avoid surprises and stay on time and on budget.

An initial half-hour consult is $100.00, which we will apply toward future services if you decide to engage us.
