Meehle & Jay entertainment lawyer Davey Jay spoke at the Sixth Annual Network Music Conference on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Davey also hosted the “WHY U NEED A CONTRACT WORKSHOP” at the conference.
The Network Music Conference was created to benefit and empower students, aspiring artists, creative minds, musicians as well as many small businesses throughout the Greater Orlando area without the traditionally high cost of most music conferences. Its mission is to share information, experiences, advice and powerful connections with individuals who strive to make a living in the music and entertainment industry. The Conference showcased all aspects of the music and film business and illustrated the broad spectrum of the entertainment industry through interactive events.
Davey participated on a panel entitled “Show Me The Money,” focused on teaching attendees how to build, legalize, legitimize, and monetize their music through various revenue generating opportunities. She also taught an entertainment law workshop entitled “Why You Need a Contract,” focused on the importance of contracts in the music industry.
