Attorney Suzanne Meehle will serve as a Table Captain at the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association’s Annual Breakfast of Champions.
Suzanne has long been a supporter of Legal Aid, having served as a pro bono attorney with its Guardian ad Litem program since 2006. As a Guardian ad Litem, Suzanne makes sure that the juvenile dependency system works in the best interests of children in foster care. Recently, Suzanne was acknowledged by the Florida Supreme Court for having logged more than 100 hours of pro bono services through Legal Aid last year. Suzanne has twice before served as a Table Captain at the Breakfast of Champions.
The Legal Aid Society was begun in the early 1960’s as a volunteer organization by attorneys who were members of the Orange County Bar Association. Its primary purpose is to provide quality legal services for the low-income residents, the working poor, children, and disadvantaged groups with special legal needs in Orange County, Florida, and to assist in providing legal aid services to similarly situated residents of neighboring counties though an effective and fiscally sound program through the combined efforts of staff and pro bono attorneys.
Now in it’s ninth year, the Breakfast of Champions is a benefit breakfast to raise funds and raise awareness of what the Legal Aid Society does in our community. The Breakfast is not just for lawyers, but also for business owners and community leaders who understand the benefit that the Legal Aid Society provides to Central Florida. The meal is free, but you will be asked to make a donation to support the agency.
You are invited to join us at Suzanne’s table on Thursday, November 3,2016 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. in the Presidential Ballroom at Church Street Station, 225 South Garland Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32801. Reservations are required. You may RSVP here, and be sure to name Suzanne as your Table Captain.
